Christian Brun del Re est batteur, compositeur et artiste de performance. Ils ont étudié la composition électroacoustique à l'Université Concordia, où ils ont auparavant complété le baccalauréat en études du jazz en interprétation de batterie. En 2017 Christian participe à la chorégraphie d'Anna Halprin Blank Placard Dance, replay (1967) avec la metteure en scène Anne Collod au FTA (Festival TransAmériques) de Montréal. À l'été 2018, il a partagé la scène avec John Oswald, en première partie du Sun Ra Orkestra au Strange Waves Festival à Paris, Ontario. Le chanteur métis baryton Jonathon Adams (NYC Philharmonic, Messiah Complexe 2020). Le séjour LAMP de Christian a été marqué par un spectacle de danse accompagnant Jonathon, Jori Vinikour et Sussie Napper (Les Voix Humaines). En 2023, Christian poursuit ses projets de musique solo mauve.biscuit.rose ainsi que la batterie avec fuit.es et Mossy Fae. Avec Rafa, ils forment GLAMOUR MAGIQUE, un duo de performance queer sobre et autosuffisant. GM se produit régulièrement à Montréal notamment à Très Bonne Idée (Espace Ouvert) avec le Studio ZX. Christian est régulièrement mannequin pour des cours de dessin d'après nature.
Christian Brun del Re is a drummer, composer and performance artist. They studied Electroacoustic Composition at Concordia University, where they previously completed the Jazz Studies BFA in drum performance. In 2017 Christian participated in Anna Halprin’s choreography Blank Placard Dance, replay (1967) with director Anne Collod at the FTA (Festival TransAmériques) of Montréal. In the summer of 2018 he shared the stage with John Oswald, opening for the Sun Ra Orkestra at Strange Waves Festival in Paris Ontario.2021 Christian taught mouvement classes at LAMP (Lunderburg Academy of Music Performance) with director and frequent collaborator Cree-Métis baritone singer Jonathon Adams (NYC Philharmonic, Messiah Complexe 2020). Christian’s LAMP stay was marked by a dance performance accompanying Jonathon, Jori Vinikour and Sussie Napper (Les Voix Humaines). In 2023 Christian continues their solo music projects mauve.biscuit.rose as well as drumming with fuit.es and Mossy Fae. With partner Rafa, they form GLAMOUR MAGIQUE, a sober self-sufficient queer performance duo. GM performs regularly in Montréal most notably at Très Bonne Idée (Espace Ouvert) with Studio ZX.Christian regularly models for life drawing classes.
Chelsea Eaton-Lusignan a étudié le théâtre au Collège Dawson et s'est produite à Halifax et à Montréal en tant qu'actrice, musicienne et marionnettiste. Elle est la costumière de Mossy Society dont la récente production, Midsummer Bushwa, qui se déroule dans les années 1920, a remporté deux prix au Festival Fringe de Montréal 2022. Elle est chef de projet pour Comm-Un, un organisme dédié à fournir du soutien et des outils à la population autochtone sans logement de Montréal, et avec la Mossy Society, elle crée une programmation artistique et des systèmes de soutien pour la population sans logement de Milton Parc.
Chelsea Eaton-Lusignan studied theatre at Dawson College and has performed in Halifax and Montreal as an actor, musician and puppeteer. She is the costume designer for Mossy Society who’s recent production, Midsummer Bushwa, set in the 1920’s won two awards at the 2022 Montreal Fringe Festival. She is the project manager for Comm-Un, an organization dedicated to providing support and tools to Montreal’s unhoused Indigenous population, and with Mossy Society is creating artistic programming and support systems for the unhoused population of Milton Parc.
George Longshadow est un clown, danseur et animateur enjoué et expérimenté. Avec 18 ans de danse en couple, 12 ans de clown et 10 ans d'expérience en enseignement, leur travail mélange le clown avec diverses conventions de danse dans un environnement favorable et ludique. Au cours de leur expérience d'enseignement, George a reçu de nombreux commentaires et réflexions précieux. Leur cours sont décrits comme un lieu accueillant, sûr et idiot dans lequel explorer l'émotion, l'incarnation générale et la construction de personnages. Les étudiants précédents ont exprimé leur gratitude pour un espace dans lequel ils peuvent pratiquer la danse sans les pièges habituels de l'hétéro et de la cis-normativité ou de l'intrusion du consentement ; au lieu de cela, ils ont ressenti un sentiment d'acceptation, d'agence et d'allocation. Les cours de George sont un espace sûr et amusant pour les personnes de tous niveaux d'expérience pour explorer la danse, le clown et eux-mêmes, et c'est un grand plaisir pour George de pouvoir les offrir.
George Longshadow is a playful and experienced clown, dancer, and facilitator. With 18 years of partner dance, 12 years of clown, and 10 years of teaching experience, their work blends clowning with various dance conventions in a supportive and playful environment. Their classes are described as a welcoming, safe, silly place in which to explore emotion, general embodiment, and building characters. Previous students have expressed gratitude for a space in which they can practice dance without the usual trappings of hetero and cis-normativity or consent trespassing; instead, they felt a sense of acceptance, agency, and allowance. George’s classes are a safe, fun space for people of all experience levels to explore dance, clown, and themselves, and it is George’s great pleasure to be able to offer them.
Adalia Pemberton-Smith est une personne hautement qualifiée et pointue qui apporte un côté ludique et une profonde curiosité à tous ses projets. Elle a passé sa vie à voyager et à créer dans les forêts du nord de l'Île de la Tortue et a le don de rassembler les gens et d'inspirer la créativité. Elle a étudié le théâtre au Dôme, a joué pendant plus d'une décennie avec Le Nouveau International, enseigne l'improvisation au Théâtre Sainte Catherine et termine un BFA en danse contemporaine. Actuellement, elle crée une pièce dystopique avec l'aîné nehiyaw Joseph Naytowhow et son partenaire Isaac Smeele avec le soutien du CCA, et produit une pièce de danse-théâtre contemporaine, « Waiting for Alice », avec un grand casting de danseurs, d'acteurs et de musiciens.
Adalia Pemberton-Smith is a highly trained and sharp individual who brings playfulness and deep curiosity to all her projects. She has spent her life travelling and creating in the forests of Northern Turtle Island and has a knack for bringing people together and inspiring creativity. She has studied theatre at the Dome, performed for over a decade with Le Nouveau International, teaches improvisation at Theatre Sainte Catherine, and is completing a BFA in contemporary dance. Currently, she is creating a dystopic play with nehiyaw Elder Joseph Naytowhow and partner Isaac Smeele with support from the CCA, and producing a contemporary dance-theatre piece, “Waiting for Alice”, with a large cast of dancers, actors and musicians.
La curiosité et la créativité d'Isaac Smeele ont été une force motrice constante et puissante tout au long de sa vie. Trouvant un profond intérêt pour la composition et l'écriture de chansons dès son plus jeune âge, Isaac a créé des centaines de chansons folkloriques et électroniques dans le nord de la Colombie-Britannique avant de déménager à Montréal et d'étudier la peinture et le dessin à l'Université Concordia. Isaac est un producteur de musique, vidéaste, monteur et animateur autodidacte qui a une imagination débridée et une capacité innée à acquérir rapidement de nouvelles compétences et à créer des œuvres d'art uniques et émouvantes dans n'importe quel domaine où il concentre son énergie. Isaac Smeele's curiosity and creativity have been a constant and powerful driving force throughout his life. Finding deep interest in composition and songwriting from a young age, Isaac created hundreds of folk and electronic songs in Northern BC before moving to Montreal and studying painting and drawing at Concordia University. Isaac is a self taught music producer, videographer, editor and animator who has a wild imagination and innate ability to learn new skills quickly and create unique, moving artworks in whatever field he focuses his energy. Rafa Tremblay Van-Zuiden est un interprète et chorégraphe de danse contemporaine. Rafa a étudié à l'École de cirque de Verdun où iel s’est spécialisé en jonglerie et en acrobaties aériennes. Rafa a étudié les sciences biologiques à l'Université de Montréal et l’Université du Cap-Breton et finalement à Concordia dans le programme de danse contemporaine. Rafa a beaucoup enseigné et performé du cirque avant de plonger tête première dans la danse. Iel travaille avec des chorégraphies In situ et utilise la conception de costumes comme point de départ. Iel fait partie du duo performance @g_lamour_magique en tant que co-chorégraphe et costumier.
Rafa Tremblay Van-Zuiden is a queer contemporary dance performer and choreographer. Rafa studied at the Verdun Circus School where they specialized in juggling and aerial hoop. They studied biology at the University of Montréal/Cape Breton University and finally at Concordia in the contemporary dance program. Rafa taught and performed circus extensively before diving head first into dance. They often work with site specific choreographies and use costume design as a starting point. They are part of the duo performance @g_lamour_magique as a co-choreographer and costume designer.
